Welcome to Engineered Spanish. By accessing this website, booking a class, or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Overview

Engineered Spanish is an independent, one-person online Spanish tutoring service operated by Gav. The service provides live, one-on-one Spanish conversation classes for English speakers who want to build confidence and communicate more naturally.

2. Classes and Delivery

Classes take place live by video call using Microsoft Teams. They are private one-on-one sessions with Gav, not group classes, school programs, English lessons, or exam-preparation courses.

3. Class Options and Packages

Available options include a $10 trial class of 25 minutes, single classes of 50 minutes for $25, and packages of 4, 8, or 12 classes. Package validity periods are stated at purchase and each package expires after its specified number of weeks.

4. Booking and Payment

Bookings are confirmed directly with Gav. Payment is made through a payment link by card or PayPal. Engineered Spanish does not offer subscriptions, recurring billing, or automated membership plans. Payment must be received before a class or package is confirmed.

5. Scheduling, Rescheduling, and Expiry

Class times are agreed directly between you and Gav. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please provide reasonable notice. Rescheduling is subject to availability. Unused classes in a package cannot be used after the stated expiry period.

6. Acceptable Use and Participation

You agree to use the website and classes lawfully and respectfully. You must not transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content; attempt unauthorized access to systems or data; or record, copy, reproduce, or redistribute class materials without prior written permission.

7. Intellectual Property

All website content, class materials, worksheets, recordings where provided, branding, and teaching resources belong to Engineered Spanish or their respective licensors unless otherwise stated. They may not be copied or used without prior written permission.

8. No Guaranteed Outcomes and Limitation of Liability

Engineered Spanish provides conversation-based learning support on an “as is” basis. Progress depends on many factors, including attendance, practice, prior experience, and participation. No specific fluency level, result, or outcome is guaranteed. To the extent permitted by law, Engineered Spanish is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or services.

9. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the website or services after an update is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ecuador. Any dispute relating to the website or services will be addressed in accordance with applicable Ecuadorian law.
